What is IDEA?

IDEA is the nation’s special education law. Any child who as a disability and an educational need qualifies for services at no cost to the family.

Why do you need an advocate?

  • To fully understand the IEP process and your child’s rights or interpret evaluation results.
  • You need someone to advocate for your child.
  • You believe your child is being denied a service or accommodations that you believe is necessary for educational success.
